Step #1
Step # 1 Cutting the Steel
Begin by cutting the 1/8" x 1" x 24' piece of steel into 13 pieces for the construction of the erector and into 9 pieces for the barrel box. For the erector you will need to cut your steel bar into: 2 @ 28", 4 @ 14 1/2", 3 @ 10", 1 @ 9 1/2", and 3 @ 5 1/2". You will also need to cut the piece of flat stock to 10", and 4 pieces of steel bar: 1 @ 17 1/2", 1 @ 15 1/2", 1 @ 6 3/4" & 1 @ 6 1/2".                                                                          For the barrel box, cut 2 @ 24", 3 @ 8" & 4 @ 6 1/4". You will need to cut the ends of the  4 - 6 1/4" pieces to a 35 degree angle. These will go with the contour of the barrel.
Step # 2 Drill the Holes
Mark and drill the holes in all your metal pieces prior to beginning construction.  The place to drill the holes will be updated soon!
Step # 3 Making the Erector
Begin by placing one of the three short pieces inbetween the two long pieces of steel, flush with the bottom. Weld these pieces together. Make sure to keep the frame square at all times or your erector will not operate properly!  Now take two of the three medium length pieces and place one of the three short pieces inbetween, flush with the bottom and weld together forming a U. Take your piece of flat stock and weld it across the top of the U. Weld the last medium length piece to the left of the center hole that was drilled in the flatstock.
Get two of the four side bars and weld the cross piece one inch back from the front on both sides. Bolt the erector together. You should have only one short piece remaining. Extend your air cylinder fully, attatching the cylinder rod to the center of the piece that you just welded. With the cylinder rod attatched, place the bottom of the cylinder inbetween the two back long pieces...this is where you need to weld the remaining short piece. Attatch the bottom of the cylinder. The only step left to complete your erector frame is to cut the steel rod into two short lengths and weld to the flat stock. Now your erector is complete.
Step # 4 Attatching the Bucky
Remove the legs and hips from your Bucky. Unscrew the nuts from the rods that extend from the spine. You will need to take your wire cutters and snip the thin wire that prevents the vertabrae from being removed. Place your erector into the barrel. Slide your Bucky down onto the erector, inserting the main spinal rod into the hole in the flat stock. Eyeball up the skeleton with the barrels edge. (the bucky's skull needs to be even with or slightly lower that the lip of the barrel. Remove the necessary amount of vertabraes' to accomplish this.
